Waiting to Die

Why do we need money?

Why do we need cars?

All of those don't matter,

if you don't know who you are.

What happened to looking

to the stars,

gazing for answers

like our great ancestors.

What happened to common sense?

These days were living make no sense.

Blindly looking for answers,

trusting others to determine our fate,

not realizing it has been up to us,

all along.

We don't listen to art,

We don't listen to our heart,

We don't listen to songs,

just hear the hypnotic beat,

never going into it's magical trance.

We shut off our souls,

now we believe, we are old.

Waiting to die,

without ever wondering why...
